When it comes to high-quality apparel and accessories, North Face is one of the brands that come to mind. One other good thing about the brand is the warranty policy. North Face is one of the few apparel and accessories brands out there that has a lifetime warranty.

In summary, most North Face products come with a lifetime limited warranty. But some products are exempted from the lifetime warranty.

Continue reading this post to understand what the North Face lifetime warranty covers and products that are exempted from the lifetime warranty. In the latter part of the post, you will learn the appropriate way to file a warranty claim for your clothing.

Understanding How North Face Warranty Works?

As mentioned, most North Face products come with a lifetime warranty. This means that the warranty remains active for the lifetime of the product. In other words, there is no limit placed on when you can file a claim for your clothing item.

There are some limits to the North Face warranty. For instance, the warranty only extends to the original purchaser of the item. Also, the warranty covers just damages that can be traced to defects from North Face.

How Long Is The North Face Warranty

All North Face clothing and apparel have a lifetime limited warranty. The lifetime in question here is the lifetime of the product and not the owner’s lifetime as most people assume. Some products are not covered by the lifetime warranty.

North Face Backpack Warranty

The North Face backpack and footwear are some of the products that are exempted from the limited warranty. The same applies to any of their products with the Renewed Series tag.

North Face backpacks and other products in this category come with a one-year warranty. Every other aspect of the warranty policy remains the same except the warranty duration.

How To Check If North Face Warranty Is Active?

Skip this section if your item falls under the products with a lifetime warranty. But for products with a warranty period, you need to confirm that the warranty is active before you file your claim.

One sure way to do this is to check the receipt. The receipt has the purchase date. You can calculate the purchase date to the present date to see if it’s still within the given warranty period.

What Does North Face Warranty Cover?

The warranty on all North Face products covers ONLY damages that are caused by defects in material and workmanship. That is defects that can be traced back to the manufacturer’s defects or errors.

What Is Not Covered In The North Face Warranty?

. Damages caused by modification or alteration of the product.

. Damages caused by accident, negligence, or improper use of the product.

. Wear and tear or breakdown of materials and colors caused by normal use and extended use of the product.

What Voids A North Face Warranty?

Some other factors can invalidate the warranty on your product. These factors include:

. Warranty filed after the stipulated warranty period. This does not include products with a lifetime warranty.

. Claim filed by any other person that is not the original purchaser of the product.

. Filing your claim in a method other than the stipulated method of filing a warranty claim.

. Claim for a product purchased from an authorized retailer.
